Komsomolsk is also is the native city of “Pervy Dalnevostochny” cooperative that celebrated 15 years this year. “Pervy Dalnevostochny” grew over the boundaries of the city long ago, and the central office of “Pervy” moved to Khabarovsk, and its branches are scattered all over the Khabarovsk Territory and neighbor regions, but it remembers and respects its origins and history.
It was in Komsomolsk-on-Amur where July 2 to 3, 2010 International Conference “Experience, problems and perspectives of interaction of microfinance institutional system with small enterprise in the Far East and Asian-Pacific Region” supported by the Government of the Khabarovsk Territory, the Administration of the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, ACCU, NU and NAMMS took place.
At the plenary session and round table discussions the main characteristic features and directions of development of the microfinance sector in the Asian-Pacific Region were discussed, the positive experience of various Russian and international organizations in small enterprise financing and the vulnerable segments of population was highlighted, some urgent problems were raised that constrain their further development, recommendations were approved for subjects of the Russian Federation of the Far East and the Trans-Baikal to improve radically the situation in this sphere.
